5. 3rd TPM for Inclusive Swimming Competition- Beyond Handicaps held in March, in Sofia, Bulgaria

The third Transnational Partner Meeting (TPM) of the ISC-BEYOND HANDICAPS Erasmus+ Sport Project successfully took place in Sofia, Bulgaria, bringing together project partners from Türkiye, Bulgaria, Italy, Portugal, and Greece to review progress, exchange best practices, and align future strategies in fostering inclusive sports for children with and without disabilities.

The Highlights of the Meeting:

Each partner showcased their local project activities and shared valuable insights from the first month of survey results involving coaches, families, and children. The exchange provided a crucial platform to discuss findings and explore next steps regarding implementation and dissemination strategies.

The final design of the Inclusive Swimming Competition (ISC) Program was presented by the Portuguese Swimming Federation. Partners then engaged in strategic discussions on the framework for local and national competitions and coordinated the logistics for the upcoming international competition.

Partners witnessed the project in action with a club-level swimming competition held at the local pool. Young swimmers demonstrated not only athletic skills but also the inclusive spirit that defines the ISC-BEYOND HANDICAPS project. The event concluded with an awards ceremony and commemorative group photographs, marking a successful conclusion to the meeting.

The International Inclusive Swimming Competition is scheduled for July 7-8-9 in Sakarya, Türkiye, with the participation of athletes with and without disabilities, project teams and stakeholders from Itay, Greece, Bulgaria and Türkiye.
